This server runs DNS Robot's free email tests

mailprobe.dnsrobot.net (3.234.47.213) belongs to dnsrobot.net. It does two things.

It receives test emails

It is the mail server for mailtest.dnsrobot.net. People who use the Email Checker's "Test your email" send one message to a one-time address there and get a report on how it was sent and authenticated. It accepts mail only for addresses the page issued, never relays and never sends mail. Reports are deleted after 7 days.

It tests mail servers

If this name appears in your mail server's logs, someone used the free SMTP Test or Email Checker on your server. The conversation stops before DATA, so no message is ever created or delivered:

• At most 20 conversations per mail server in 10 minutes and 30 per domain an hour; no bulk mode.
• Addresses are not stored or logged. Our logs keep the domain, the mail server and the reply codes.

To stop tests against your domain, email hello@dnsrobot.net with the domain name. We add it to the opt-out list and the server stops contacting yours.
